M78 and NGC2021

Often neglected targets in Orion: M78 together with NGC2071, very complex and colorful reflection nebulae with embedded star forming regions (Herbig Haro objects).
Image centered on RA 05h 47m, DEC 00° 09', north to the right

Recently a new small nebula within the M78 complex illuminated by a newly born star has been discovered by the amateur: Jay Mc Neil.
The new nebula is marked in the above image.

Exposure L:R:G:B = 110:15:15:15 minutes (5-minute sub-exposures).
Processing Image calibration and stacking, DDP in ImagesPlus; color balance, curves in Photoshop; cropped due to strong coma and vignetting in the C11, size 60/100%;
